The works on board are used as an arena to explore and experiment. I love the freedom that this enables and find that often this generates interesting and exciting results.

This piece was a study made en plein air in Golden Valley on the Ashridge Estate. I came across this quiet, idyllic passage while out walking and only later discovered that it was designed by Capability Brown. This study was all about capturing the colour & forms of the grasses & trees with the shadows of the late evening drawing across the landscape.
